Due to lack of education and less opportunities to work and get paid well there has been a massive exodus of migrant workers from their villages to industrial cities like Ludhiana.
Geminy understand this well and started to work in child education, women health and empowerment. Erica Dua(Executive- Welfare & CSR) has been helping the society to lift on its own. Geminy is proud to be associated with Anything Will Do (AWDORG FOUNDATION) to set up punjab’s first “Ek Chaadar Meri Bhi” Center to train women from underprivileged sector to support women empowerment. This Center shall train women and girls to learn the stitching and be the futuristic technicians to repair these machines. Also they will be making shopping bags out of used, donated bed sheets. These bags will be helpful to balance the eco system and a wonderful step to stop the usage of poly bags.
